Emil FORSMAN(1-2) was born on 18 March 1892 in Hango, Finland.(3-5)
He immigrated on
21 June 1906 to New York.(4) On 15 July 1911 in Kemmerer at the home
of Ivan S. Jones, Esq., Emil married Fanny Marie Hirvi who was born in
Lohtaja, Finland.(7) He was naturalized on 12 June 1915 in Lincoln County,
Wyoming.(4) Emil submitted draft
registration cards for WWI on 5 June 1917 in Butte, Silver Bow, Montana where he was working as a miner at the Black Rock Mine.(5) Emil
was described as being tall, medium build with blue eyes and light hair.(5) He appeared in the census in 1920 in
Newcastle, Washington with his wife Fanny, daughter and
brother-in-law John Hirvi.(6) He died in a gas explosion in Frontier No. 1
coal mine on 14 August 1923 at the age of 31 in Frontier, Wyoming on his daughter’s 10th birthday.(3-4) Emil was buried on 17 August 1923 in Kemmerer,
Wyoming.(3) Emil was survived by his
wife and one daughter.
