85. Savant, John


Giovanni “John” SAVANT(13) was born on 18 May 1895 in Torino, Coassolo, Italy to Giuseppe Antonio Savant.(45)  He lived in North Torino, Coassolo in 1919.(2)  He immigrated, a single man and coal miner, in December 1920 from Canada into Vermont where up his final destination was his brother Giuseppe in Pueblo, Colorado.(2)  John was 5 foot 7 inches, medium build with brown hair and grey eyes.(2)  John died in a gas explosion in Frontier No. 1 coal mine on 14 August 1923 at the age of 28 in Frontier, Wyoming.(4) He was buried on 18 August 1923 in Kemmerer, Wyoming.(45)  He was single.(4)
